Vince Staples - Prima Donna

What can i say? Vince Staples is growing as a man and as an artist. It must be scary to have all of that front and center for the whole world to witness and listen to. Truth be told i haven't kept up with his albums or releases like i should, but i've been paying attention to the music videos.

Staples is an artist in the purest sense of the word. i loved this music video. Deep, funny (in a 'dark' way) and revealing of his own personal story of glory and down fall. You don't need any hope near the end of this music video, what you need is REALNESS. And Vince Staples provides that realness in 10 minutes. For a cat who claims to not be all that into 90's Rap, this Music Video reminds me of the story telling capabilities artists frum that era knew the music video had power to do. This is a brilliant story because it is so real, because it is so personal. Beautiful!
